To be sure that I had the most current version of Dingbats, I replaced my older (?) font file with the one supplied with my recently received Illustrator 10, to no effect.īTW: This issue manifested itself prior to my installation of my TypeManager, which I thought might solve the problem. No amount of playing around seems to solve the problem. In going through these docs to make sure everything was going well in my Win98>XP efforts, I was perturbed to notice that Word 2002 was showing Wingdings fonts in place of Dingbats in my documents even though the Word font menu indicated Dingbats. Many of these use Adobe's Zapf Dingbats font. I have a number of elaborate Word docs developed to support an entertainment industry software application (manuals and guides). I also freshly installed my Photoshop 6, Illustrator 10, Acrobat 5, Type Manager Light 4.1 and GoLive 5. In doing so, I upgraded my Word 2000 to Word 2002. I recently changed over from Win98 to XP (clean install).
